1. Platform Role and Intermediary Status

Advocate Academy ("the Platform") is an intermediary as defined under Section 2(1)(w) of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and Rule 3(1)(d) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.

We provide a technology platform that connects:

• Law students and graduates seeking practical training ("Trainees")
• Practicing advocates willing to provide mentorship ("Mentors/Advocates")

WE ARE NOT A LAW FIRM AND DO NOT PROVIDE LEGAL ADVICE OR SERVICES.

2. No Attorney-Client Relationship

Use of this platform DOES NOT create an attorney-client relationship between:

• The Trainee and Advocate Academy
• The Advocate and Advocate Academy
• Any users of the platform

The training arrangements made through this platform are for educational and skill development purposes only. Any legal advice provided by advocates during training is between the advocate and trainee directly.

3. No Guarantee of Outcomes

Advocate Academy does not guarantee:

• Passing of any bar examinations
• Admission to any bar council
• Employment or placement outcomes
• Success in any legal proceedings
• Accuracy or completeness of training content
• Availability of specific advocates at all times

4. Verification of Credentials

While we verify advocate credentials through:

• Bar Council enrollment number validation
• Document verification (Bar Council ID, Aadhaar, PAN)
• Phone and email verification

We do not guarantee the accuracy of self-reported information or the quality of training provided. Users are encouraged to perform their own due diligence before engaging with any advocate.

5. Third-Party Links and Content

Our platform may contain links to third-party websites or resources. We are not responsible for:

• The content or accuracy of third-party sites
• Their privacy practices or terms of use
• Any transactions between you and third parties

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, Advocate Academy and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill
• Any claims arising from training arrangements between users
• Technical interruptions, errors, or platform unavailability
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

7. User Responsibility

By using this platform, you acknowledge and agree that:

• You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users
• You will comply with all applicable laws, including the Advocates Act, 1961, and Bar Council of India rules
• You will not use the platform for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• You will respect the intellectual property rights of others
• You will maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials

8. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure to perform our obligations under this disclaimer where such failure is due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

• Acts of God (natural disasters, pandemics)
• Government actions or restrictions
• Power outages, internet service disruptions
• Civil unrest, strikes, or terrorist activities

9. Jurisdiction and Governing Law

This disclaimer shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this disclaimer shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in New Delhi, India.

10. Changes to Disclaimer

We reserve the right to modify this disclaimer at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the platform. Your continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the modified disclaimer.
